As the number one search provider, many of us rely heavily on Google to educate ourselves, fact check information, and find the best cat memes. But accessing reliable information is becoming increasingly difficult in a world of fake news and biased commentary. Google hopes to combat that with a fresh take on search results.
“Sometimes the reliable information you’re searching for just isn’t online yet,” Danny Sullivan, public liaison for Search, wrote in a blog announcement. “This can be particularly true for breaking news or emerging topics, when the information that’s published first may not be the most reliable.”
